Aaron Stehling is a second generation taxidermist with a passion for high quality, artistic taxidermy. As co owner and general manager of Stehling’s Taxidermy LLC, Aaron has helped pave the way for the 40 year old company to become one of the largest taxidermy shops of it’s kind in the country. His responsibilities include guiding over 1000 custom taxidermy pieces through the shop every year.
Aaron has devoted much of his career to turkey taxidermy, creating hundreds of custom turkey mounts for sportsmen across the U.S. every year. He has extensive experience with all of the turkey sub species.He is routinely called upon to mount rare and difficult birds. In 2014, Aaron was commissioned to mount a rare wild sweet grass phase Merriam’s Turkey for the NWTF Winchester Museum.
In the field of molding and casting, Aaron has worked with numerous companies in product development, including Carolina Biological Supply. He is also instrumental in developing wildlife themed products for decorating in restaurants all over the World. Aaron has helped to created many Museum displays, including a large rare fish exhibit at Depauw University .
Working along side his Father and Brother, Aaron has mounted over 10,000 fish, making him one of the most experienced fish skin mount taxidermists in the country.
